Navy delivers clean water solution with new RO plant at Ranpathwila Maha Vidyalaya, Anuradhapura

A new Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, installed as part of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) project, was declared open for community use at the Ranpathwila Maha Vidyalaya in the Kahatagasdigiliya Divisional Secretariat, Anuradhapura on 20th December 2024.

Under the guidance of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, the Sri Lanka Navy has utilized its skilled workforce and industrial expertise to set up RO plants in the Anuradhapura district. This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Health and funded by generous donors, marks a significant step towards providing clean drinking water to communities. The latest installation, the Navy's 1073rd RO plant, was sponsored by AB Mauri Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. The facility was officially inaugurated by Mr. S. Seyyed of AB Mauri Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.

The new facility will now readily provide safe drinking water to the school children, staff and residents of the area.
