Navy anchors support for “Clean Sri Lanka” project with cleanup drives in Galle and Hambantota

The Southern Naval Command organized a cleanup campaign today (12th January 2025), covering the beach stretch from Samudra Mawatha to city limit of Galle, the beach area extending from the Gintota Bridge to Hikkaduwa and Hambantota Fisheries Harbour. This initiative was carried out in support of the government's "Clean Sri Lanka" project, launched under the motto "Beautiful Island, Smiling People."

The mission of the “Clean Sri Lanka” project is to reposition the nationwide efforts of environmental, social, and governance initiatives through introducing change, integration, and collaboration.
