The fourth round of staff talks between Sri Lanka Navy and Pakistan Navy was held at Pakistan Navy Headquarters, Islamabad in Pakistan on 07th and 08th September 2021.

Rear Admiral Marcus Perera retired from naval service today (07th September 2021), upon completion of his distinguished career spanning over 35 years in the Navy.

The closing ceremony of the Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) Balance Style 02/2021 was held at the Special Boat Squadron (SBS) Headquarters, Trincomalee on 02nd September 2021. The termination of the course also witnessed the participants receiving certificates on successful completion of JCET Balance Style 02/2021.

Going by the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and guidance of Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Upul De Silva, a blood donation campaign was held at the Welisara Naval Complex on 04th September 2021. Sri Lanka Navy joined hands with the National Blood Transfusion Service to organize this well-intentioned endeavour to collect much needed blood.

Commodore Damian Fernando assumed duties as the 36th Commandant of the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA), Trincomalee - the premier training establishment of Sri Lanka Navy on 01st September 2021.

The new jetty constructed for berthing of small craft at the Naval Detachment of Uchchamunei, administered by SLNS Vijaya in Northwestern Naval Command, was declared open by Commander Northwestern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha Kularathne today (30th August 2021).
