Another nine (09) naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, on 28^th May 2020.

Four (04) inmates who were undergoing quarantine period in Naval quarantine centers at Boossa Naval Base and at Kalpitiya area, left the centers after completion of their quarantine process, on 28^th May 2020.

Sri Lanka Navy rendered assistance to escort a multi-day fishing trawler, Doni, which had gone for fishing with 07 fishermen aboard from the Galle fisheries harbour and distressed at sea due to a technical fault, today (29^th May 2020).

The Navy, on 28^th May 2020, rendered assistance to transfer a group of foreign nationals who arrived at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in a special plane, to board their ships at the port of Galle. Apart from that, the Navy also provided safe transport facilities to another group of foreigners from the same ships to the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, to fly their homes.

A Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant installed under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, at the historical Muhudu Maha Viharaya in Pothuvil, was declared open by the Commander Southeastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Senarath Wijesooriya, on 28^th May 2020.

The local multi-day fishing vessels that were washed-away to Indonesian sea area as a result of the recent cyclonic storm ‘Amphan’, were escorted back to island’s waters with the help of the Sri Lanka Navy Ship ‘Samudura’.

During two search operations conducted at the beach lines of Kovilkodieruppu area in Trincomalee and Palchenei area in Kadiraweli on 26^th May 2020, the Navy managed to find unauthorized nets being hidden in these areas.

SL Navy apprehended a cab with two persons who were transporting Mahogani timber without a permit, at the road block conducted near the Ponnalai junction, Jaffna on 26^th May 2020.

The Navy cleaned the underside of Dodangoda Bridge and Wakwella Bridge in Galle, which had been clogged with tree remains and debris washed away by fast stream of Gin Ganga, for making free flow of the water to avert a possible threat of flood, today (27^th May 2020).
