Four (04) inmates who were undergoing quarantine period in Naval quarantine center at Kalpitiya area, left the center after completion of their quarantine process, today. (27^th May 2020)

Another twelve (12) naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, on 26^th May 2020.

A sudden fire that broke out in a shopping complex at the main street, Ambalangoda was brought under control by the Navy with the assistance provided by Galle fire brigade, today (26^th May 2020).

Another nineteen (19) naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, on 25^th May 2020.

The local multi-day fishing vessels that were washed-away to Indonesian seas as a result of the recent cyclonic storm ‘Amphan’, are now reaching the island’s shores with the help of the Sri Lanka Navy Ship ‘Samudura’. Meanwhile, SLNS ‘Samudura’ continues to provide food, water, medical aid and fuel to these distressed vessels.

SL Navy recovered a banned fishing net in a dinghy at Thuduwa beach in Kokilai, during a search carried out on 24^th May 2020.

With completion of their quarantine process another 14 persons left the quarantine centre established at Boossa Naval Base, today (25^th May 2020).

Extending their supportive hand to the programmes conducted by the Navy for controlling the spread of coronavirus, Sri Lankans in Myanmar donated a stock of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth about Rs. 350000/= to the Navy.
