Another thirteen (13) naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, on 21^st May 2020.

The Navy apprehended a persons with Kerala cannabis, during a coordinated operation conducted with the Excise Office of Tangalle in the town area of Beliatta on 21^st May 2020.

The Navy managed to apprehend 02 persons for possession of crystal methamphetamine (ICE), during a coordinated search conducted with the Police in Narikuda area, Kalpitiya on 21^st May 2020.

Three (03) persons with illegal drugs and heroin were apprehended during two search operations conducted by Navy in coordination with Divisional Vice Squad-Trincomalee and Police STF-Pulmudai, at Uppuweli area in Trincomalee and in Welioya area, on 21^st May 2020.

In order to prevent a possible threat of flooding, the Navy removed logs and debris which were collected by raging water flow of Gin Ganga at the underside of Wakwella Bridge in Galle and made its free down flow, on 21^st May 2020.

The Navy apprehended a person for possession of an assortment of illegal items, during a coordinated search conducted with the Trincomalee Police Divisional Vice Squad in Jamaliya, Trincomalee on 20^th May 2020. Among the seized items were; banned drug tablets, Kerala cannabis and swords.

With completion of their quarantine process another 10 persons left the quarantine centre established at Boossa Naval Base, today (21^st May 2020).

Sri Lanka Navy, today (21^st May 2020) dispatched an Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel to assists and provide fuel to the Sri Lankan multiday fishing vessels driven away to the seas off Indonesia by the effect of inclement weather caused by the ‘Amfan’ cyclonic storm formed in the seas around the Bay of Bengal, during past days.
