Hundred and eighteen (118) inmates consists of 98 in Sampoor and 20 in Oluvil Naval quarantine centers who were undergoing quarantine period, left the centers after completion of their quarantine process, on 08^th May 2020.

Three (03) persons who engaged in illegal fishing using banned nets, were apprehended by Navy during a search operation carried out in the seas off Trincomalee harbour, on 07^th May 2020.

Another 02 naval personnel who were admitted to hospital being tested positive to COVID-19, were discharged from the IDH hospital after treatment and tested negative to COVID-19, today (07^th May 2020).

Another 08 naval personnel who were infected COVID-19 at the Welisara Naval Base and admitted to hospitals for treatment, with their full recovery from COVID-19, were discharged from the hospitals on 06^th May 2020.

SL Navy held two persons with diving gear which had been stored without a permit for diving, on a temporary hut built in shallow waters, during a search operation carried out in the sea area off Walaipadu, on 06^th May 2020.

The Women to Women Organization joining hands with Manusath Derana handed over a stock of mattresses, pillows and bed linen to the Navy at the Naval Headquarters on06^th May 2020. These items are expected to be used in programmes which are undertaken by the Navy in view of arresting the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Extending their supportive hand to the programmes conducted by the Navy for controlling the spread of coronavirus, ‘Dalwu Pahan’ Social Welfare Organization donated a stock of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Navy, on 06^th May 2020.

In assistance to the Navy’s effort to control the spread of coronavirus in the country and responding to a request of former Commander of the Navy, Admiral of the Fleet Wasantha Karannagoda, Morison PLC donated a stock of medicines to the Navy at the Naval Headquarters, on 06^th May 2020.

The institutes of Good Neighbors Sri Lanka and Ceylon Kisses made a wide range of donations to the Sri Lanka Navy, in support of its efforts to control the spread of new coronavirus in the country. As such, the donation of face masks, hand gloves, sanitizing liquids, protective clothing as well as 50,000 tea bags took place at the Western Naval Command Headquarters on 05^th and 06^th May 2020.

As a contribution in the Navy’s campaigns to control the spread of coronavirus in the country hospital beds were donated to the SL Navy by Nilkamal Eswaran Plastics (Pvt) Ltd., at the Naval Headquarters, on 06^th May 2020.
