Russian Navy ship ‘Admiral Vinogradov’ arrived at the port of Colombo today (07^th March 2020). The visiting ship which is on a four day goodwill visit was welcomed by Sri Lanka Navy in compliance with naval traditions.

The Navy apprehended 02 persons who were illegally harvesting sea cucumber, during a patrol conducted in the sea area Southeast of Kalmunai Point on 06^th March 2020.

The Navy apprehended 04 persons with heroin on two separate occasions, during coordinated operations conducted with Police Narcotic Bureau in Trincomalee on 06^th March 2020.

The Russian Navy Ships ‘Yaroslav Mudry’ and ‘Victor Konetsky’ which arrived in Sri Lanka on 04^th March 2020 on a goodwill visit, departed the Colombo harbour on successful completion of their tour events today (06^th March 2020).

The Bangladesh Navy ship “Shadhinota” which arrived in Sri Lanka on 03^rd March 2020, departed the island, on 05^th March 2020.

The Navy apprehended 03 suspects with heroin and crystal methamphetamine, during a coordinated search carried out with the Puttalam Police Narcotic Bureau in Puttalam on 04^th and 05^th March 2020.

The Navy apprehended a person who was illegally harvesting sea cucumber in the sea area Southeast of Kalmunai point, Jaffna, on 04^th February 2020.

The haul of heroin and crystal methamphetamine worth approximately Rs. 6,000 million along with the suspects and fishing vessels in connection to it, seized after a successful naval operation in high seas about 600 nautical miles (1111km) away from Sri Lankan shores, were escorted to Dikovita fisheries harbour this morning (05^th March 2020).

SL Navy apprehended a person with a stock of fish caught using explosive, at South Bar area in Mannar on 04^th March 2020.
