Navy held three persons with 550 sea cucumber and 04 conch shells at Chundikulam sea area in the early morning today ( 2^nd October 2019).

Two more cleaning programmes of the Navy’s coastal cleanup drive were conducted in the Northern Naval Command on 1st October 2019.

The Navy, during a search conducted in Urumalei, Talaimannar on 01^st October 2019, held a suspect for transferring 226 conch shells without valid passes.

The Navy in coordination with the Sinnakudiirippu Police conducted a search in the general area of Sinnakudiirippu, Kalpitiya and apprehended a person with 658 conch shells on 01^st October 2019.

3.9kg of Kerala Cannabis was recovered by Navy during a raid carried out in coordination with Police STF-Manalkadu, at Nagarkovil area in Jaffna, on 1^st October 2019.

The Defence Attaché for the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka, Colonel Gaku Fhukura visited the Southern Naval Command, on 1^st October 2019.

The “Shilpasena Exhibition-Sri Lanka Technical Revolution-2019” organized by Ministry of Science, Technology and Research was held at Kaduruwela ground in Polonnaruwa from 25th to 29th September 2019. Sri Lanka Navy also took part in the exhibition with a Naval stall.

The Navy, today (01^st October) held 05 persons engaged in fishing using unauthorized fishing nets in the sea area of Senamvali.

Sri Lanka Naval Association launched its poppy campaign with presenting the first poppy flower to the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva by its President Admiral (retd) Daya Sandagiri at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo, today (1^st October 2019).
