Sri Lanka Navy promptly rendered assistance to transfer a fisherman who was distressed at sea by a sudden heart pain, ashore for treatment today (28 February). The patient was onboard the multiday trawler “Vinod Krishan 6” which has left Galle fisheries harbour for fishing.

On successful completion of their arduous training, sixteen (16) officers and hundred and twenty three (123) sailors belonging to the third batch of Sri Lanka Navy Marine Battalion passed out at the Marine Battalion Headquarters in Sampoor, Trincomalee yesterday (27 February).

The long distance triathlon race, Ironman 70.3, was held at the Galle Face Green in Colombo on 25 February with the participation of 612 contestants from 62 countries.
