The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne addressed the student officers of the Course Number 9 at the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) on 10th December 2015.

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest ten Indian fishermen along with an Indian fishing trawler poaching in Sri Lankan waters east of Point Pedro on 09th December 2015.

The annual concert of the Naval Pre-schools of SLNS Gamunu, SLNS Tissa and SLNS Dakshina were held at the SLNS Parakrama auditorium on 06th December 2015.

A family get-together of naval personnel killed and wounded in action were held at SLNS Pandukabaya in Poonewa on 06th December 2015.

Sri Lanka Navy held a special cultural show for the visiting South Korean naval ship, ROKS “Chungmugong Yi Sun Sin”, on 04th December 2015.

An all-night pirith chanting ceremony followed by a mid-day alms giving was held at SLNS Gemunu in Welisara on 03rd and 04th December 2015 in view of the 65th Navy Day.

Sri Lanka Navy rescued an injured fisherman in the southern seas, on 02nd December 2015 in response to a request made by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard. He was brought to the Galle Harbour by Sri Lankan Naval Ship Jayasagara.

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Vijaya in Kalpitiya arrested 11 persons with 3 Fiber Glass Dinghies (FGDs) on engagement in illegal fishing in the seas between Kudiramalai and Karaitivu on 03rd December 2015.
