The Sri Lanka Navy Open Shooting Championship 2015 was held at the Navy Shooting Complex in Welisara from 10th to 17th March 2015 for the third consecutive year by the Navy in collaboration with the National Sport Shooting Federation.

The newly appointed Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Chrisantha De Silva, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on 16th March 2015.

In a closely contested tussle for supremacy, the defending champions, Navy Sports Club, beat Kandy Sports Club 12 - 11 in their Dialog "A" Division Rugby League 2nd round final match, which was worked off at Nittawela on 15th March 2015.

Sri Lanka Navy accorded a Guard of Honour (GOH) to the visiting Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, at the Presidential Secretariat in the city of Colombo on 13th March 2015 at the official welcome ceremony held under the patronage of the President of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena.

Sri Lanka Navy facilitated the conduct of the annual festival of the St. Anthony’s Church located on the Palaithivu Island.

At the invitation of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Shalika Perera, the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, laid the foundation stone for the sailors’ holiday bungalow at the Welisara Naval Complex on 09th March 2015 amidst the blessings of the Maha Sangha.

In view of the Worlds Women s Day, under the patronage of its President Mrs. Shalika Perera a special function was organized at the Naval Headquarters on 06th March 2015

Pakistan Naval Frigate “Zulfiquar” arrived at the Port of Trincomalee on a goodwill visit on 03rd March 2015 for 3 days. It is 123 meters in length and has got a complement of 303 personnel.

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera declared open the administration complex at SLNS Uttara on 03rd March 2015.

Under the direction of the Ministry of Defence and the supervision of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, the Sri Lanka Navy facilitated the conduct of the annual feast of the St. Anthony’s church in Kachchativu on a grand scale.
