Sri Lanka Navy, which played a pivotal role in ushering in lasting peace to the island-nation, will never forget its heroes.

Commencing the activities of the Year 2015 on an auspicious note, personnel of the Sri Lanka Navy pledged their commitment to preservation of hard-won peace and nation building.

Continuing immediate relief to those who have been affected by the prevailing inclement weather, the North Western Naval Command conducted two more field medical clinics at the Kayakkuli Roman Catholic Tamil mixed school and the Pokkulam Roman Catholic church in Mannar on 30th December 2014 under the supervision of the Commander North-Western Naval Area Rear Admiral Sarath Mohotti.

Sri Lanka Navy’s annual War Heroes felicitation is held this year under the direction of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera.

Navy Sports Club beat Havelock Sports Club 17–13 in their Dialog Inter-club 'A' division league rugby match, which was worked off at the Havelock Park Rugby Ground in Colombo on 20th December 2014.

Two Russian Naval Ships, “Moskva” and “Cola”, arrived at the port of Colombo on 19th December 2014 for replenishment and crews.
