The Russian Naval Ship, “Moskva”, arrived at the port of Colombo on 23rd October 2014 on a replenishment and goodwill visit.

The Sri Lanka Navy netball team won the championship in the State Services knock-out Netball Tournament – 2014, beating the defending champions, Sri Lanka Air Force, 43-33.

Sri Lanka Navy’s Merchant Marine Training School (MMTS) has received B-1 Grade certification consequent to a comprehensive independent evaluation audit carried out by Mr. Ajoy Chattergy, the Principal and Head of the Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies based in Pune, India.
