The newly-appointed defence advisor to the Bangladesh High Commission in Sri Lanka, Commodore Shah Aslam Parvez called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage on 21st May 2014 at the Naval Headquarters.

Bangladesh Naval Ships “ALI HAIDER” and “NIRMUL” arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on 16th May 2014.

A high-level Chinese delegation visited the Naval Dockyard in Trincomalee on 14th May 2014. They were warmly received by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Rohan Amarasinghe.

The inter-command athletics meet of the Sri Lanka Navy was held at the Sugathadasa Stadium on 26th and 27th May 2014 with the participation of over 480 athletes. Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage was the Chief Guest at the concluding ceremony held on 27th.

Pakistan Naval Ship “Shamsheer” arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on 13th May 2014. They were welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on arrival.
